Rates for indexing vary from project to project, depending on the complexity of the work in question. Generally I charge between $4.00 and $8.00 per indexable page for a general subject index, and between $0.50 and $2.00 per page additional fees for name indexes or primary source/scriptural indexes, depending on the density and complexity of the text in question, including the per-page word-count. For specifics, please contact me with a sample chapter from the work you want indexed so I can look it over and discuss the job specifications with you in more detail.

Other things I will discuss with you at this time will include the time-frame/turn-around for the index, any length restrictions, formatting and other specific requirements, such as breaking the index into multiple separate indexes (general subject, Index Locorum or names indexes) for your index.
